It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Colorado Springs. Garden of the Gods was established in 1909 as a National Natural Landmark and Historic Landmark. The Garden is located on Pikes Peak Avenue, just west of downtown Colorado Springs. It is open daily from dawn to dusk and features a variety of educational programs, ranger-led walks and talks, a Junior Ranger program, picnic areas, and an amphitheater. Garden of the Gods has something for everyone with over 15 miles of hiking trails, an Interpretive Center, cafe, gift shop, and plenty of places to sit and enjoy the views. Garden of the Gods features stunning red rock formations, towering sandstone cliffs, and breathtaking views. The park is also home to wildlife, including bighorn sheep, mule deer, pronghorn antelope, and coyotes.
